Julio Cesar, his experience in the seminar Centro de Estudios Pastorales
Julio César Justiniano, a “brother” from Bolivia’s Anglican Church shares with us his experience in the seminar Centro de Estudios Pastorales (CEP) of our church.
Tell us about new friendships or the deepening of some you’ve had along this first semester.
It’s interesting, because you bond with every member of the community. You grow and the moments when friendships deepen most are prayer times. How refreshing they are!
How has it been to learn Greek?
For me, it’s easier to understand Greek rather than “Chilean”. Greek grammar helps me realize the depth of Jesus’ words that sometimes gets lost in translation.
What has it been like to share with second year students?
Sharing with second year students has been enriching; friendship deepens as time goes by; the time we spend doing homework and praying for each other creates strong bonds that will be very hard to forget.
What would you say to a young – or not so young – person who is considering attending a seminar?
The seminar is a great opportunity to learn more about God’s Word. It is a blessing growing and learning more about Him through His word, and share at the same time with other brothers and sisters that also long to get to know better the author and consummator of everything: God. It’s a huge privilege.
If you are determined in studying at the seminar, come with the longing to honour and learn more about Him.
What has been the hardest thing so far?
The hardest thing has been organizing my time, because in the past it brought me complications, and having a better reading habit.
Your prayer motives are:
My family in Bolivia A place to live the time left to finish my studies. The Church in Bolivia.
Something else you would like to add?
CEP is an enriching experience worth living. It holds a continuous learning and the knowledge that you never cease to be a student of God’s Word. CEP gives you tools that will be useful for your ministry.
