4th Anglican Latin American Conference “Creciendo Juntos”.
The fourth “Creciendo Juntos”, a conference for Anglican clergy and lay leaders who are seeking God´s renewing and growth in the church in Latin America, met in Santiago de Chile over the four days 16th to 19th of October. This time the atmosphere was weighty with the presence of three Bishops, Héctor Zavala from Chile, Robinson Cavalcanti from Recife, Brazil, and our Primate, Gregory Venables. This very fact gave the conference a sense of serious purpose. The nearly 80 delegates from all over the continent came together seeking God for effective fruitfulness in our Anglican contribution to Latin America.

It is with a deep sadness I must communicate to you the passing of our former principal and friend, Miss Jean Marshall, which occurred yesterday in the city of Birmingham, England.
Miss Jean, who exercised duties as principal of the school until September of 2004, when she returned to England to begin her medical treatment, leaves us with her memory, her teaching and example of life, which made a profound impact on the consciences and souls of those who knew her. In spite of her departure, our teacher and exceptional friend will remain for ever in our memory.
* We praise God for Rocío, yesterday she is turning two years old! We had a great party on Saturday. Please pray that she may honor and serve our Heavenly Father every single day of her life.
* Dagmar and Estela's visit to Tresillian (a specialized breast feeding/baby sleeping helping centre) went really well. It was very reaffirming of what we've been doing and we got a couple of good hints. We praise God that Estela had her first whole night of sleep on 1st November! We also praise the Father because she turned six months old.
"Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain." Psalm 127:1
Prayer is the first work of Christians and the foundation for all our work and worship at Church of the Resurrection. We believe prayer is essential in order to build a mature and stable Body of Christ. We invite you to join us in interceding for the requests that follow.
The Core Prayer Team meets weekly on Thursday mornings at 7:30 a.m. for prayer for our church and bimonthly for an extended time prayer. In addition, fourteen members of Resurrection participate in our Prayer Chain by praying for serious or emergency situations as we are notified by members of the congregation. The Prayer Chain can be activated by calling Gwen Dunbar, Alice Ann Robertson, or any member of the Servant Council.

The Church of the Resurrection Bulletin, Baltimore.
After I found out that Bishop Zavala wanted me to speak about Church of the Resurrection at the Diocesan Synod, I sought the counsel of those around me as to what to say and how to say it. I spoke to Eliot, Ricardo Tucas, and Archbishop Venables. They all gave me the same advice: make it personal. I was told that when people at the Synod met me, they would want to know my story or testimony. This was highlighted when Ricardo gave me a copy of his Church's monthly newsletter. He belongs to a new church plant and the newsletter was full of testimonies from members of his church. So this article serves two purposes.
First, it is my testimony, which is so intimately woven with Church of the Resurrection that I gave before the Synod. Secondly, it is the inauguration of a new feature of this newsletter. We will begin to publish the testimonies of members of our community who wish to share them. Please contact me if you wish to submit your story.
Alf and Hilary Cooper report on another extraordinary encounter
What a weekend! from: www.samsbg.org
"We have just returned from a mission in Chol Chol, the cradle of Anglicanism in Chile. We were invited by a Pastor Joel and his wife, wanting to see for themselves how Anglicans can experience a visitation of the Holy Spirit.
"The Lord led the seminar at which there were over 100 leaders, first covering the themes of Repentance, the Cross and the Person of the Holy Spirit. Then He came! There was such a powerful manifestation of God's presence and loving power that not a soul went untouched. People were converted on the Saturday night evangelistic meeting, beamed over the area by the radio.
